Our Dashing Deer Dashes Our Expectations!

– This here article comes from whiskeyriff.com. It’s not always about the soulful twang of country music, y’all. Sometimes, they share a good ol’ country tale too.
– The tale this time is of a daring deer who thought it had the legs of a kangaroo and tried to jump a fence that was higher than my aunt Edna’s beehive hairdo back in the ’80s.
– Turns out, this deer bit off more than it could chew – or hop, as it turns out. The high fence was not one to be tamed.
– The deer tried to clear the fence and came up woefully short. It tumbled downwards in the grass, shook itself off, and sauntered away.
– The hilarious video of the decipherably deflated deer has since gone viral, making this mutinous mammal a world wide web star.

Closing Thoughts: High Fence 1, Deer 0

Y’all, it’s a known fact that deer can be as spry as a hound pup after a squirrel, but this poor critter seems to have misjudged the fence height. I reckon he thought he was part jackrabbit, but he surely found out his place in the pecking order. I’ve gotta say, this is a sticky wicket even for a deer. Let’s just hope he stuck the fall better than he stuck the landing. It’s a good thing the grass isn’t known for holding grudges – a soft landing and a bruised ego, that’s all he got. As common country wisdom would tell you – don’t bite or jump more than you can chew or clear. But let’s give it up for the plucky deer, after all, it ain’t everyday you get to be a viral sensation by just being yourself – or thinking you’re a different species.

Y’all remember, when life gives you high fences, make sure you measure first before taking that leap. Or at the very least, be prepared for a bit of a tumble and come up graciously. In the meantime, check on our deer friend’s video, and get ready for a guffaw or two!
