Well, Grab a Cold One Honey, It’s Storytime

– UFC boss man, Dana White, has taken the bull by the horns and is pushing gallons of Bud Light, arguing that it’s the patriotic choice.
– He’s firing the old comparison cannon, saying Bud Light is “way more aligned” with American values than other brews. Nothing like a little beer patriotism, y’all!
– Farm-bred Bud Light just gets it, says White. It could be those Clydesdalettes clip-clopping their way into our hearts… or just his perfectly patriotic preference.

As Mama Used To Say, Opinions Are Like Belly Buttons, Everybody’s Got One

Well honey, let me tell you; I’ve heard some tall tales in my time, but this one takes the biscuit. Apparently, according to none other than Mr. Dana White, if you’re aimin’ to be a real patriot, you best be sippin’ that Bud Light.

Now, I’m not one to argue with a tireless, hardworking UFC boss, but I’d say patriotism runs a smidge deeper than your choice of sudsy refreshment. Not to mention, I could name a dozen microbrews huggin’ the town line of our great nation producing some mighty fine hops. But, ya know, to each their own…

Sweet Bud Light!

I reckon “drink American, be American!” is a funny old line, but maybe there’s some truth buried in that razzle-dazzle (hint: it probably ain’t where ol’ Dana White thinks it is). If anything, it’s one heck of an advertising line for Budweiser, right?

Here’s my hot take, dearie. It ain’t about if Bud Light’s logo has more stars n’ stripes that capture your heart. It’s about the idea of finding unity in the darnedest of things, like a cold brew, and how that makes us more American than American itself. So whether your fancy is Bud Light, Coors, a hearty ale from Vermont, or moonshine you cooked up in the back shed, we’re all just folks enjoying our “right to life, liberty and the pursuit of a cold one.”

Pass the suds and let’s all raise a toast to that!
