LAS VEGAS — It’s official! Country music legend Garth Brooks is extending his electrifying Las Vegas residency, ensuring that the City of Lights will continue to shimmer with his stellar performances throughout 2024. This news arrives on the heels of his sold-out shows, solidifying Brooks’s status as a commanding presence on the Las Vegas strip.

Dazzling audiences at the iconic Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Brooks guarantees that no two shows will be the same, a thrilling promise that ensures an unforgettable experience at every performance. From special guests to a rotating cast of band members, each night brings a fresh, exhilarating concert that will surely go down in the annals of Las Vegas entertainment history.

Ever the charismatic entertainer, Brooks teased the possibility of fans hearing new music for the first — and potentially last — time at the residency, dubbed “Garth Brooks/Plus One”. With a hint of mischievousness in his eyes, he disclosed, “We’re going to do stuff tonight that they’ll never hear again because it just didn’t work or we just never finish it. We’re going to get very personal, so if you’re not planning on getting some mud on you tonight, don’t show up. It’s going to get down and dirty”.

The Vegas residency, which initially sold out in record time in 2022, has been extended by 18 dates due to overwhelming demand. Fans who missed their chance the first time around will receive early access to the 2024 dates during a presale opportunity before tickets go on sale May 31 to the general public.

“I felt extremely fortunate and blessed when the 2023 shows went on sale,” Brooks said, his excitement palpable. “To even think I would get to do this for another year makes me happier than I can explain”.

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, an architectural marvel inspired by ancient Rome, has been home to the greatest entertainers in the world since its inception in the early 2000s, from Celine Dion’s record-breaking residency to the likes of Madonna, Cher, Mariah Carey, Elton John, and Adele.

Brooks, a Country Music Hall of Fame inductee with two Grammys and seven Country Music Association “Entertainer of the Year” awards under his belt, expressed his honor at joining this illustrious line-up. “A chance to play a residency is not something you pass up, especially at a place like this,” he stated.

This isn’t Brooks’s first rodeo in Las Vegas. He had a successful five-year run at the Wynn hotel-casino’s Encore Theater between 2009 and 2014, where he played more than 180 shows. The new residency, however, brings something different to the table — a live band, setting it apart from his earlier acoustic performances at the Wynn.

“This is pretty much dessert for an entertainer right here,” Brooks said with a gleam in his eye, “because you get to choose whatever song you want to sing and how you present it”.

Brooks’s extended residency follows his global Stadium Tour, which kicked off in 2018 in Indiana and culminated in a sold-out show in Dublin, Ireland, in September last year. The tour was a sweeping success, cementing Brooks’s reputation as an international music sensation.

This exciting news is music to the ears of not just Garth Brooks fans but all lovers of live music. The extended residency promises an unforgettable journey of musical grandeur, where Brooks’s captivating performances will continue to illuminate the Las Vegas nights. So, mark your calendars for May 31st and prepare to be swept off your feet by the magic of Garth Brooks in Las Vegas.

To quote the man himself, it’s going to get “down and dirty.” Get ready for a wild ride!
