– The Season 20 finale of that gussied-up TV hoedown “The Voice” got a big ol’ splash of country flavor with some big-hatted names.

– Keith Urban, that Australia-based, guitar-strumming cowpoke, performed his new single, “Wild Hearts”. Let me tell ya, he can strum on my heartstrings like no other!

– Our boy Jelly Roll, a rapper-style hootin’ and hollerin’ spitfire, brought his unique blend of country-style rap, affectionately known as ‘hick-hop’. He did his thang on the stage performing “Sober”.

– Swift-tongued Dan and Shay, that two-headed country music beast, got up under the spotlight with their hit single “Glad You Exist”. Trust me when I say their harmony could bring peace to a rooster fight.

– Team Blake Shelton, you know, that silver-tongued devil from “Team Denim,” did our kind proud. He’s forged one fine country singer. Cam Anthony was crowned the new king. Bless his cotton socks!

Pickin’ and Grinnin’ at the Finale

Country Stardust Dazzles Our Little Screen

Well, I gotta tell ya, sugar, there ain’t nothing like a red-hot stage where the twang meets the pop. The Voice finale was looking more like a Grand Ole Opry lineup than a TV workout, and this good ol’ gal ain’t complaining one bit. Keith Urban could play beans on toast and still make it sound like a symphony. And Jelly Roll, bless his plump little heart, that boy is like if Johnny Cash and Eminem had a rowdy little love child. Dan and Shay puurrring their romantic ditty, gave me goosebumps the size of Texas. As for our new boy king, Cam Anthony, I done reckon Blake has spun gold from straw yet again. So honey, pull up a chair, pour yourself some sweet tea, and savor that sweet, sweet sound of country. Y’all can keep your high falutin’ finery, us country folks knows where the real music’s at.
