The Bluegrass Beat: Top Albums of December 2023

Bless your heart, darlin’, you came just right on time! I’ve been plucking on my old banjo just waitin’ to spill the sweet tea about the latest Bluegrass chatter this December. Here’s the who’s who of the Bluegrass scene:

The Cornhuskers are Back at it y’all!

Our favorite ensemble, The Cornhuskers, are back in the saddle with their brand new album ‘Kentucky Sunrise.’ This one’s been long in the oven and I dare say, it’s finger-lickin’ good!

Delilah and the Dixies Debut Album!

Of all the newbies this year, catch your horses cause Delilah and the Dixies are serving up pure country goodness with their debut (‘Debutante’s Plight’). With teardrops and tickles in their lyrics, they’re as authentic as grandma’s apple pie!

Rainbow Runners Blaze the Trail

Following their breakthrough last summer, the Rainbow Runners have proved they ain’t no one-hit wonders. Their latest album is surging up the charts like a rabbit on a hot tin roof!

Billy-Joe and the Butttercups Honors the Bluegrass Tradition

The talk of the town, Billy-Joe and the Butttercups, remain true to their roots. Relying heavily on the rustic twang, their album ‘Mountain Echoes’ is as heartfelt as Sunday morning church singing.

Hold onto your cowboy hats, dear friends, it’s been an exciting month for the Bluegrass world! The Cornhuskers are showing us that seasoning always adds an extra bit of flavor, while fresh meat on the plate, Delilah and the Dixies, sure know how to cook up honest tunes that hit ya right in the gut. Then there’s the Rainbow Runners, proving that their colors ain’t blending into the background, they’re out there in front impressing the whole country! And let’s not forget, Billy-Joe and his Butttercups, making sure those bluegrass roots are dug deep into the hearts of their listeners. Why, it’s been a down-home feast of music, darlin’, and I’m already excited about what next year might bring!
