Honey, this ain’t about country music but it sure is an interesting video. Let me give you the rundown:

– We’ve got ourselves a story of momma bravery out in the wild. A grizzly bear over in Yellowstone National Park spotted an innocent moose calf and thought, “Well, there’s my dinner.”

– Scary as a washed-up country star on whiskey, that old grizzly chased down that poor, helpless calf. He must’ve been in need of a good giddy-up, as wolves would say.

– But y’all know how mommas are, right? They won’t stand by while their babies are in danger. This momma moose galloped on in, throwing kicks and stomping around until that greedy grizzly decided it wasn’t worth the fight no more.

– At the end of the day, the cowboy – err, I mean, the grizzly – rode off into the sunset minus one meal. And the momma moose and her calf went on home. Good on ya, momma moose!

Now, if you’ll let this ol’ southern gal get sentimental for a minute, let’s drop the gags and talk straight. Ain’t everyone blessed enough to have a momma who’ll face down a grizzly bear – be it the country legend in the tour bus or the real, angry kind on four legs – for the sake of their child. It’s a real-life testament to a momma’s love, y’all. Made me think of my momma. She never fought no bear, but she sure as hell always stood up for us. Love’s a powerful thing in the wild, and no less in our own hearts. The country music scene could use a few good bear-fighting mommas, don’t y’all think?
