This CMA Country Christmas hoedown might as well have been straight outta Santa’s workshop, it was that jam-packed with cheer! Thomas Rhett, bless his heart, he sure knows how to command more than just a music track, playing host and performing like a real show pony. Then, what we got was a series of festive smashes, brought to us by the likes of show-stoppers like Kane Brown, Carrie Underwood, and the queen herself, Dolly Parton. Calling in all the way from R’n’B town, we had Leon Bridges bringin’ in a country-style Christmas croon. Now, that’s like mixing honey with hot sauce—unexpected but a combo you can’t help but savor! The tribute to the late Charley Pride got me all misty-eyed – it reminded us all of the sweet lullabies that used to grace our Christmases past. Suffice it to say, this year’s CMA Country Christmas was a rootin’-tootin’, grand ol’ country time!
