Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit! Here’s all the country grit on Keith Urban’s Debut Album

– Bless his heart, our boy Keith Urban sure showed the world he had talent with his self-titled debut album back in 1999.
– His first offering was chock full of country goodness and produced three stellar singles: “It’s a Love Thing,” “Your Everything,” and “But for the Grace of God”. Ain’t nothing like some good ol’ ditties to strum your heartstrings.
– “But for the Grace of God” really showed us what this Aussie import was made of, reaching Billboard No. 1, making him the first New Zealand-born artist to reach the top spot.
– Keith ain’t a stranger to travelling. He packed up his Vegemite sandwiches and diddgeridoo to head to the place where dreams come true – Nashville, Tennessee.
– Urban might look like a city slicker but he knows his way around a country tune; he was juggling multiple roles in his debut album: vocalist, guitarist, and co-producer.

And now for my hot take:

Well, I’ve got to say, smack me with a wet noodle and call it a day, Keith Urban sure did the kangaroo hop right into our hearts with this album! Y’all remember back when vinyl was a thing and not just a hipster decor in your Craigslist-found apartment? Yeah, this boy right here spruced up that good ol’ Nashville sound with a kick. He outback’d the Outback, he cowboy’d the cowboy! Ain’t no one can combine the charm of a southern sunset with the rugged Australian terrain quite like him. And don’t he just sparkle when he strums that guitar? Mm-hmm, keep sippin’ that sweet tea, honey, and watch this crocodile-dundeeling cowboy take on the world.
